HELP!! Rotting Courgettes
« on: July 03, 2005, 11:15:30 »
I don't know what's happening but my beautiful little courgettes (finger sized) are all rotting on the plant.  The plant looks very healthy and there are loads more flowers on it. Every little fruit is rotting from the flower end and turning to mush. Anyone offer advice please ???

Scan down the board - big thread about this - seems it is poor  pollination of the first few and is not a big problem - you lose the first ones but subsequent courgettes tend to be more successful.

Thanks Clanger, I only saw the other thread after posting my query. I'm relieved to see that all is not lost.  ThanQ

As a follow-up dingerbell after starting that last thread I did pick off the rotten ones.  Since then though all my courgettes have been fine and I managed to harvest the first of them on Saturday.    So fingers crossed you'll see some good results soon.
