Cats and other pets
« on: January 14, 2004, 19:06:50 »
Following on from the Photos in the gallery, i thought a little backgroung would be nice:

Always had cats, all through childhood etc.  First one was a real gent, and lived to a ripe age.  Next came a pair of sisters we got from a cats home.  Regrettably they didnt last long. both sadly killed in turn on the road near where we loved.

After this never ACTIVELY went out to get a cat. they all came to us and adopted us.  Sooty was gifted to us by people who were moving and could'nt look after her any more. Sooty herself had already adopted us by this time.

Two more soon followed. One a ginger stray, came to us ina bad state and decided to stay with us. We lost Arthur only three years ago at an advanced age (20+ we think).

The other was strictly a neighbours cat, but had been virtualy disowned because it was aggressive toward the owners young children, so came to us for food. Unfortunately it was also aggressive towards the other two, and when we moved 7 years ago had to be rehomed (the remaining two were transformed by this).

Since the death of the ginger. Sooty has been a changed cat. Used to be timid, wouldnt purr or even meow. Has since become both noisy and affectionate.

Sorry to go on i just thought some background would be nice.

That's now THREE pet places.

Forgive my known prejudice, but I do think that that's a bit disproportionate?? = Tim

Sounds sensible since Tim's has gone to the trouble of putting it there for us!  Would be ungracious not to use it!  :)
