pest and disease photo archive?
« on: June 22, 2005, 09:53:12 »
Hi folks

It seems that we are building up quite a collection of photos of various problems that are actually better examples than a lot seen on the web elsewhere.

eg the white rotted garlics and onions: searches for white rot in google just turn up descriptions and onion pics and nothing much else.

I'd like to build up a dedicated archive of common problems - have the webspace to do it on moonbells - and was wondering what folk thought (and specifically whether they would donate their images for use etc...)

Tim,
It's a sort of light brown colour on the florets. Could it be a suntan as I haven't bent the leaves over the heart yet to protect them from the sun?

Sounds like a great idea moonbells - maybe become the world's leading online database of crop pest and disease pictures.

Sounds like a good idea - if you want to use the webspace and bandwidth of A4A please do.

I am looking to expand the 'static' content of the site, and this sounds like a good use of the site.

Cheers

Sprout - as you say, sounds like ageing. Tastes the same!

Buy a variety with close cupping leaves.

wow Dan - thanks!
'twas just an idea... we'd have to talk tho... maybe I could get something stuck together with my ancient html editor on moonbells and see what you think once the prototype's running?

Mind you, with an hour+ of watering each night right now I don't think I'll have time until it rains!!!!
