Don't worry about Wardy gg - she gets a bit crabby sometimes. She is, however, an expert on winter purslane which is a reasonable winter standby...

 ;) ;D

If you're new to this game I'd focus on overwintering onions, garlic and, if you live somewhere fairly mild, Aquadulce broad beans.

And don't forget fruit. It's coming up to the best time of year to plant bare-rooted fruit trees...

Cannot find winter purslane seeds anywhere - anybody got any tips.  Might even try growing it hydroponically  ;)  Although I suspect water purslane may be more suited.

GG   get yourself some seed catalogues and then you'll be able to pick the exact pea you want.  I think early peas can be sown now (late autumn is now isn't it  :))

Order catalogues online and you'll get them quicker.  I got fothergills the following day!  Marshalls, Dobies, Suttons, Tuckers, Viva Verde, Real Seed Comapny, Organic Gardening Catalogue, ooh there's loads  :)  Oops forgot, Kings and their Organic wing, Suffolk Herbs  :)
