Rose bud, ahhh!
« on: June 10, 2005, 13:43:40 »
Had to post this pic.  Took it this morning just before it opened out completely.  Rosa"Rhapsody in blue", smells fantastic and has got loads of buds.  Sorry about photo quality, but as some of you know, new at this photo posting thing, have been advised to wear a crash helmet at all times whilst using computer.......! The rose is gorgeous and that's a really pretty Foxglove, too.

I've just had the first 3 blooms open on my 'Just Joey' roses. I've got two of them, but I had to move one earlier in the year which I thought might have put it on hold for a while. Never moved a rose bush before but I must have done it right, because it's in flower ;D

Oh I do agree about the scent of roses, Lottie. If I see roses, I automatically lean over and smell them, and it's such a shame when they don't smell of anything much :'(

I've got a lovely rose bush that has the most amazing scent, but I have no idea what it's called. It produces dozens of blooms every year, and they aren't much to look at but they smell wonderful ;D

 ;D ;D ;D Lottie !

Kept tipples down on my birthday as I had work to do in the garden.  Was given a pretty climber of some sort which I have to plant somewhere, when I know if it is a sun lover or not ??
