« on: June 04, 2005, 14:20:01 »
This is one of my dogs.
Not many people seem to know what breed she is.
 ;)
Anyone like to guess?

The prize is the satisfaction of knowing you got it right - if anyone does.
 ;D

This breed, in my opinion, is the best kept secret of the dog world.

Some of you are on the right lines - the breed was originally a cross between a Welsh Corgi, and another breed.

A clue: - in the war of the Roses - she and I would be on opposite sides.

You have indeed won, maz.
Lancashire Heeler - Bunnycat - I am the Yorkshire person.  ;D

Originally a cross between a Welsh Corgi and Manchester Terrier.
Used as cattle herding dogs - as well as ratters.
And the biggest yappers under this sun.  >:(

I will send you a load of earplugs with her, maz.
When you are used to dogs which never bark - she takes a lot of getting used to.
You can't stop them - it is in the breed.
(Wish I had known that before I got her!!!!).

Oops, sorry for the delay.
The breed has been around for quite a long time - but only in recent years been shown.

Take a look HERE

Drat it all maz - hasn't she arrived yet? She is a people dog - can be snappy with other dogs.
Perhaps she saw Alice, and decided not to knock at your door!!!!
Oh, her name is Cindy.

Emm , Alice is my cat and a little sweetie  :-* so rather than upset either of them Ive sent her back to you.  ;D

I first heard about the breed from my ex s.i.l. Her family were going to buy one, I dont know if they ever did though.
