Amandine potatoes

Is anyone else growing amandine potatoes?

We have three rows planted chitted seed potatoes on 4/4 and they all seem very SHORT (no frost has had them though). Is this small size/slow growth normal?

I have never grown this variety before, and would love to hear any reports from anyone who has/is!

I gather they are a first early, but they are "behind" our anyas in development of the haulm - which are supposed to be second earlies.

Advise please?

WSL,

They are not the earliest of the 1st earlies so I wouldn't worry too much at this stage.

Have a look at http://www.plantdepommedeterre.org/eng/var.asp?var=1 for more details
