Does anyone know where I can buy this stuff to replace sugar

I looked other day in Asda..and they sell two different brands..Pure Via and Truvia..and of course the cheaper one was temporarely sold out.. ::) I'm sure other supermarkets sell them as well.

Morrisons, sainsbury and asda. I think Grannyjanny gets hers from waitrose. I now have a stock. You need 2 sachets per spoonful of sugar, Shirl, not 1 as they say. Rice pud was great, crumble needed a bit more sweetness but it was rhubarb  ;D
Last I bought was a tub to stop me having to open all those flamin' sachets  ;D

I noticed in Waitrose the other day the T&L do a 50/50 mix of sugar & stevia. One of the ladies at WW uses it for baking. I did some stewed fruit the other day & I used 2tsp of stevia for fruits of the forrest.

I only use it to cook the fruit and a bit for the porridge. I will see if I can get a tub in waitrose or ask betty to get me some when she goes to Asda ;D

Agave Nectar is also good for diabetics. I got some & Dr Chris Steel was recommending it for diabetics. It's very sweet & the amount I put on my porridge is point free at Weight Watchers ;D.

yes, rosebud, I've just done stuffed apples with a bit in the fruit, we're having it with diabetic ice cream  ;D

Agave Nectar is also good for diabetics Yes..but it still have 'sugars' in it..just not same type like in 'white' sugar. It more like fructose. So any diabetics have to still take it into count if using insulin that is does raise blood sugar levels..although slower than ordinary sugar.

I doesn't really work as a sweetener does it If does sweeten food but its not 'sugar free'.
Good thing is as it is more complex sugars..it doesn't raise sugar levels in blood as sharp as white sugar does. So in that way it is healthier and better for you.
When it first came out, I understood from advertizing that agave nectar is more like 'sweeterner'...but when I had chat about it with diabetic nurse in hospital and they had look into it..they did agree it was slightly misleading.

Now stevia can be classified as 'proper sweeterner'..sugar free and practically 0 calories.
