Scotts Levingtons Ericacious PH level
« on: January 15, 2017, 15:53:40 »

Hi there, I'm going to try to grow Blueberries and after reading up ,as you do,I found I needed to get compost that has an acid PH 5.5 give or take. I've purchased the above compost and I decided to do a ph test on the bags I've bought. A meter reading shows just under 7 and a chemical test also shows a readings of just under 7. My question is. has anybody tried to grow lime haters in this compost? It does say it has high iron content ,but is it the right compost for my berries?
Thanks for any help

just a little tip what ever ericacious compost you use for blueberries cut it with at least 30% sharpe sand to help with drainage  they like damp compost but like good drainage even more never tried the compost you mentioned you could help it by adding sulphate of iron hope this helps
