Allotment -Funchal
« on: November 18, 2016, 16:28:18 »
Just up the road from my hotel in Funchal was a municipal allotment site.  Quite steep, but then almost everywhere on Madeira is steep.  Many of the plots full of banana trees they small ones, like they grow in the Canary Isles.
Not much sign of people working, two guys on Saturday.
Will try and post a pic.

I was  fascinated by the allotments and gardens in Madiera, look forward to the photos.
Seem to remember that they were all surrounded by high wire fences, a bit like fruit cages.

Now isn't that dandy.  Emailed them from Tablet, shrunk them a bit and uploaded them,  I am surprising myself.
