My new puppy (to be)
« on: July 18, 2016, 09:31:21 »
I've been thinking about getting another dog for quite a while, in the end I decided to look for a puppy. I know they say don't pick the first puppy you see, but I did, I just couldn't resist!

She's an English Spring Spaniel and just over six weeks old now. I'm getting so excited about collecting her at the end of the month   :blob7:

Here she is at just over three weeks old, she is a working type and looks quite dark in the picture but is liver and white.

How wonderful!  Great looking puppy.  :sunny:

And will be good company to Saffie.  Hope the 'working' does not include digging up your plants!

Exciting times, thank you for showing us.  Looking forward to many more pictures when you get her home.

How lovely Jayb, I hope you will post some more pictures when you finally get her home.

English Springer Spaniels are my favourite dogs; I absolutely adore them.  We bought a liver and white one in 1999 (our first and only dog).  She passed away 12 years later and we miss her still.  As a puppy, Meggie was a bit of a handful as she chewed everything in sight, but we never regretted having her.  She was so loving and liked cuddles on our laps.  She was never more happy than chasing after a ball and running around our paddock.

What are you going to call your new puppy, Jayb?

Thank you, I'll try and do pictures but she's not that easy to capture, well ones that are in focus as she is sooooo busy!
I remember your lovely pictures of Meggie, especially the one I think with her and your OH, sitting together. I'm fingers crossed she won't be too much of  a chewer..... I can dream.

The breeders grandchildren have called her Seren, so I think we will stick with that. Funny I love the name Megan and that was pretty much at the top of my list.

This picture is from last week,

What a beautiful picture, Jayb; thanks for posting. I look forward to seeing more.

The picture you are remembering is probably the one of Meggie laying in John's arms and watching tv in our caravan with him.  I have made several photos of Meggie into a jigsaw puzzles.  I don't know if this link will work:  http://www.jigidi.com/created.php?id=LBMG0AV9   This is another one of my favourite pics of Meggie:

Thanks, Seren arrived about 10 days ago, she has settled in really well  :blob7: She seems to have doubled in size already and what a little whirlwind she is!
