What can grow after Butternut Squash?
« on: May 04, 2015, 13:29:11 »
Without manuring is there anything that will grow successfully in the bed where butternut squash was planted last year, without manuring the bed?  We were thinking of planting our brassicas there but now I'm not so sure.  We have one bed that was manured year beforre last and has not been used but we were keeping this for butternut squash and beans this year.

Squashes can prevent things germinating, so would not suggest carrots etc.  Effect can last a while.
