Bird song
« on: February 22, 2015, 14:15:39 »
It always feels like spring is on the way when the birds start singing in the morning, heres a shot of a couple of the early birds to start the season. A lovely male blackbird in his breeding plumage.

And of course the Robin

Great to hear them again. Another few weeks of lengthening days, and they'll be substituting my alarm clock. Brilliant!!

Same here, Mr Blackbird started singing last week, sitting on the apple tree at first light and again in the evening.

Your photos are very good indeed Mike.

Well spring may still be quite a while off, but at least the light is getting much better now and that always lifts the spirit too.

Nice pictures, you cant beat spring for fresh song in the mornings.

weve been watching the nuthatches cleaning out the box from last year and just to add interest a pair of Blue tits has been assisting
a few feathers flying......who ends up with the box remains to be seen.
