Black Strawberries
« on: November 21, 2014, 15:16:25 »
Seeds are on sale on Ebay is this a spoof?
The black ones are supposed to be heritage, only 99p for 100 seeds. Shall I risk it?   Does include the postage.  Has anyone tried?

You can also get blue ones.  Read they have been genetically modified with some kind of fish antifreeze so they do not go mushy when frozen.  Do not approve of GM.  Though I am always cold perhaps I need some fish antifreeze.

Yes, I saw those seeds too and I suspect somebody has been over eager with their colour choices for the print.. :drunken_smilie:
I doubt there is black strawberries...unless they are really off, but more like deep burgundy..some 'normal' varieties go very deep colour anyway when they are truly ripe.
As for the blue....well, I would like to know about that too! Mould? :tongue3:
