« on: September 19, 2014, 22:02:08 »
Recently my fuchsia foliage has been turning yellow with mottled green.the leaves then drop.a lot of them have almost defoliated but some new growth seems to be appearing. The fuchsia haven't dried out and up to now they have given a great show.Any ideas anyone please.

Yes , so are some of mine ...and I have begun to move the less hardy ones  into the greenhouse......also some of my pelargoniums for over wintering . I,m in Cornwall and although the daytime has been warm/humid, the nights are getting colder and the hours of daylight getting shorter .

Oh yes..they do that here too...just a normal foliage loss for coming to end of the season.
If you are going to keep your fuchias to next year...now is good time to re-pot them into smaller container, be 'economical' with watering, keeping the compost just slightly on damp side until new growth will start budding in spring again.
