Strange Sweet Baby Tomato Plants
« on: August 01, 2014, 13:21:16 »
Has anyone ever grown "Sweet Baby" Tomatoes before?
I ended up this year with a pack of trial seed of them from T&M. I sowed them, only one came up, and it is very strange. It seems to produce lots of quite spindly shoots with quite small leaves and only a few flowers. To date no fruits have appeared from these flowers whist all my other tomato plants (of various types!) have done so and are growing well.

not a v good trial result then?
I havent grown this one but have done sunbaby f1 a sweet yellow cherry which I rated highly.
This may be from the same f1 breeder.

I have a packet of Sweet Baby but didn't get to sow any this year.
It doesn't sound like it is growing quite right, is it only the one plant of this variety you are growing?

Only one germinated from that variety so I only have the one plant. All the other varieties I grew germinated well and look fine.
