My parcel arrived yesterday and a kind neighbour took it in for me.  When I've had another glass of wine I'll put the tree up and the lovely wrapped parcel will go  underneath.  Thank you to all who organised and everyone who donated.

MERRY CHRISTMAS  XXX

Yes the card was very good.
It was specially designed for Thrive by Martin Rolfe

He seems an excellent sketcher as can be seen in his blog at

 http://martinsonlinesketchbook.blogspot.com/

I particularly like the two articles/ drawings of the staff at thrive.

I'm almost lost for words!   Smiley  I've just opened my present to be surprised and delighted at just how generous it is.
There are a Spear & Jackson stainless steel/wooden handled hand fork and trowel, a pair of Spear & Jackson Medium Bypass Secateurs, two smiley Coasters, a packet of Lindt mini milk chocolate truffles and the biggest, woolliest slug that I've ever seen which is green with purple lips!
I really can't thank those of you involved - Pumpkinlover, Ninnyscrops, Hector, Grannyjanny and Davyboi - enough for all these wonderful items.

That photo is better than the one I took! Squash it stands about 10" high, is at least that round the middle and has a little tail.
So when I said big...! Any suggestions for a name?

Hope this works, here's a side shot of a smaller slug...they come in various sizes....largely dependant on whether or not the knitter is concentrating or watching a gripping thriller on TV and not counting rows  Tongue

I never thought I would ever say this - but what a lovely, cute, cuddly slug!

(the link didn't work for me, was it for a pattern or more pics?)

Mike, you have taken the words right out of my mouth!  I too was struck by the generosity of the gift - I got the same as you but seeds instead of coasters - and I loved the card too.   Cheesy

Chloe, my two year old granddaughter, immediately grabbed the slug, sat on it, and called it Mr Squashy.   Grin

So thank you very much indeed Pumpkinlover, Ninnyscrops, Hector, Granny Janny and Davyboi - a perfect present.   Smiley

Happy New Year

Same here.  So so generous, big thank you Pumpkinlover, Ninnyscrops, Hector, Granny Janny and Davyboi.  I'm having a really good Christmas and I'm thankful for everything I have, I hope our collection can make some small difference to those less fortunate children and their families.
