Resizing images

Hi, can anyone tell me what pixel size i need to put pictures on here, i have done it before but cannot remember, i use windows Paint to resize my pictures. I thought it was 1500 pixels, but obvoiusly not.

Mine is 64 x 64 pixels, 1500 seems a bit big.

You mean to post as an avatar or in the thread ?

Most avatars are about 120x120 pixels.
