Hi there.

Seeds are available from my 749 grown this year if you would like to have a go at growing a big one. The cross is really good and the seed is capable of growing really big fruit.
If you can send me a small stamped addressed padded envelope, I can send you  3 seeds. I`m not looking for anything in return. I send out a lot of seeds and the postage adds up

My email address is petebragg68@hotmail.com

There is a picture of the fruit here:

Thanks

Pete

What a kind offer!
I shall certainly take you up on this after Xmas, if that's ok..?
My daughter would love to grow a bin-'un on her plot.... She'll be the envy of our new allotments!

Thanks Pete JB.  Smiley

Nice photo!

Makes me think - would it have been even bigger and rounder if it was grown in zero gravity?

Maybe you should offer some of those seeds to NASA?

Cheers.

Dear Pete,

If I may, I would be very grateful to accept some seed.

By way of thanks I have two seeds saved from a 70.1 lb marrow (2009) that I can exchange.  They produced a 111 lb'er in 2010.

If you do not want they are up for grabs to the next person who wants them.

Thanks Pete, email sent

Hi Pete
Newbie to this site after being disillusioned with the last spam-ridden one I used.
I would love to have a few of your seeds as I really want to better the 140lb personal best from last year.
Will e-mail you later.
Cheers.

The seeds have just arrived - I can't believe how enormous they are! Thank you so much, Pete - I can't wait to get them started! My personal best is a puny 70lb so I'm sure I'm going to beat that! My grandsons and I are going to love watching it grow! Thanks again.  Smiley Kiss Smiley

Thank you so much for the seeds Pete - they are the biggest, fattest pumpkin seeds I've ever seen!

I'm going to use them for our pumpkin competition and I'll let you all know how we get on.

Thanks again,
Betty

Hey Mal.
Thanks for the good wishes mate. Happy new year to you too.
I`ll do everything I can to get that 1000 pounder I`m after. As you know, it`s hard work. I`m also going to grow marrows this year. I hope I`m as successful as you were last year. I`m gonna do a diary this year on BP.com so feel free to take a look.

Best wishes and good growing

Thanks Peter.
I would feel honoured if you started a thread on behalf of my seeds. LOL

Your welcome by the way. Glad they arrived safe.

I just received a package from Ian Paton with a seed from last years UK record 1504 pumpkin and last night I had a dream about three pumpkin plants of mine.

My wife already thinks I am a little sad.  Better not tell her!

I was there when the 1504 was weighed. It was a monster pumpkin that went a little light to the chart. It could have been a new world record otherwise.

Am I right in thinking that all the monster pumpkins grown in the uk are grown under cover?

I wonder what the record for an outdoor one is.
