Roll Eyes I have just given an Allotment to my partner for his Christmas present, I have Lot's of ideas as to what to grow but would love some advice.

We want to grow herbs, flowers and unusual vegetables but are also happy to grow some standardised stuff, anything that is easy to maintain and grow..... We are unsure of when to plant stuff etc and of course we first need to dig, weed and manure the plot but we are very keen to get started. any ideas......San (clean fingers at the moment and not green ones)

Welcome, and what a great Chrissy pressie to give!

There is heaps of advice on the boards and examples of what we are all up to at the moment and hoping to do as soon as the weather, and the festivities allow.

The green fingers will come....if yuo can make them out under the  soil, muck and manure!  Cheesy
