i have 4 baby chicks born on 26th July they are on chick crumb at the moment when should i change food and with what please,also they are still with mum how long should they be with her

Keep your little ones with the broody for few weeks yet..you can see when see she is starting to try to keep away from them or not showing too much interest anymore...that's about when the chicks start having proper feathers and not all fluff anymore.
As for  change of food..well normally you start introducing some growers pellets to their diet after 8 weeks..but don't change it straight from one to another..mix small amounts growers into chicks crumbs...evetually giving just growers..and when your girls get near to 18 weeks then do samekind of change into layers pellets/meal.
