I have an Atlantic Giant growing well on my plot. I have 2 pumpkins- one very large and one medium. I also have lots of foliage with two or three flowers.

Is it worth cutting off the non-fruiting vines to allow the plant to concentrate its powers into growing a large pumpkin? If so, should I bury the end of the vines I've cut into the ground?

Thank you.

I think you can bury the whole of the vines to make a double layer. But woud wait for an experienced grower to answer before you do.
Have you got any pictures for us to see how well they are growing?

get the plant as big as you can grow it  bury any main vine and secondary vines this promotes root growth from each leaf node  take off any third stage growth and nip out side and main if your happy with the fruit growing  give plenty of water and high potash feeds to help promote fruit growthhope this helps  regards mal
