I presume so as they do eat seed heads like dandelions! I rarely see goldfinches here although they are around, and I did see two youngsters one day last week.

We had lots here over the winter they love the seed heads of evening primrose.  Amazing photo.  How did you manage to get  it they move so fast.  We also have bull finches which are stunning too.
