Who's this in my greenhouse?
« on: June 01, 2010, 15:41:35 »
Went to water my toms in the greenhouse, suddenly there was a flutter as something flew over my head, turned round and.......

What a super photo of a long-tailed tit, Chrispy.  They usually fly in groups so this one must have got separated.

PS It looks a very young one so perhaps the parents are nearby

One of my favourite birds. Probably cos we rarely see them
When I get old I don't want people thinking
"What a sweet little old lady"........
                             I want em saying
"Oh Crap! Whats she up to now ?"

Ahhh, how sweet is that.

At an exhibition at Hillier Gardens,  I bought a photograph of some long tailed tit babies.  They are just so appealing.

Yes, I had to pick him up and put him outside and then he flew off.
He was very calm, even had him perched on my finger for a little while.

Superb shot, Chrispy, well done.  Long tailed tits are just so cute.  My husband got some great shots of a long tailed tit family over at Lea Valley Park last weekend.  They're so quick and shy, I didn't get a single picture, lol.

Just catching up on this forum- what a great fuzzy shot of a cute little guy, Chrispy. Even got the gleam in his eye and shiny toenails :).
