Theyre based on drops of molten steel from the girders that went in to the Olympic site and theyre called Mandeville and Wenlock, the 2 towns that inspired the Olympic and Paralympic bids. What theyve got to do with London Ive no idea. They look to me like refugees from the teletubbies.

I think kids will love them, and if the merchandising offsets the cost, all well and good. I also think it's great that the paralympics are being given a high, equal profile by having their own mascot.

I was listening to Micheal Ball on radio 2 last week & he said he thought they looked like "aliens willies" .  His words not mine lol.  Well they aint as bad as the lisa simpson logo for the olympics,  some1 should really have had a good look @ the logo b4 it was approved!

They look just as daft as the Canadian ones and I thought they were stupid too..but they made millions for the cause.
