How do you stop chickens from spending the night in the nest box. When they went to bed tonight I lifted the lid on the nest boxes, there are three & the four of them were piled on top of each other in one box. Any suggestions please. BTW they are bantams.

To get them out of the habit block access to the nest boxes at night for a while.

Your perches must be higher than the nestbox. Some manufacturers dont know anything about hens. The birds will always roost as high as they can so if the nestbox is too high this creates the problem.
