Blackbirds that have Chicks to feed, will take your Newts
i have watched this happen for many years.
Keep your Blackbirds well fed, they might just leave your Newts alone??

I have yet to see any of "my" newts on my plot this year. Also haven't seen any slow worms yet  Undecided
