Gwynnethmary well done, and you'll be even happier when you eat them!
We were- they were delicious. Just wondered if the bigger ones would just keep on growing or if there's a maximum size. And can anyone explain the difference in size please? Just guessing - are they the first ones to develop so have been growing longer? When you look at the roots when they have been dug up you will notice there are the beginnings of potatoes that are just the size of peas.

It was a bit of fun keeping them from getting frost damaged creeping about in the dark with plastic bottles, milk bottles filled with water and fleece. This sounds 'interesting'. I've heard of many tips and tricks for this gardening malarky, but not sure about the details of this method. Are the bottles of water used as a barrier? Do you use hot water? Should I start pilfering from the neighbourhood's recycling bins ready for next winter? Oh so many questions...............
