Redcurrants
« on: June 18, 2009, 17:58:21 »
Just picked 8 lbs of redcurrants.  Am going to make a summer pudding with redcurrants, strawberries and raspberries.  Have made jam, have tried to give some away to other allotment friends, but seems no-one really wants them.  Will have to put them in the freezer.  May try and make ice-cream if it is easy.  Just remembering when I destalked them that as a child used to hang them on my ears as lovely earrings.  Can you buy recurrant earrings, think that would be a good marketing ploy as they as a really lovely colour, don't mean the real things but imitation redcurrant earrings might be good!!!
