Why can't I load a new photograph on my profile, I know I am stupid but just learning to use my new digital camera.  All my profile has now is a red cross.  Don't want to join Photobucket as have blocked cookies and don't want rubbish again on computer.

You have to make it very small... Mine's about 200KB I think...

Ollie, you are so so clever, that had been driving me mad.  I know now that my photos are all bigger and the old ones on OH's camera are smaller, so they work.  Now all I have to do is resize the ones I really wanted.  I will try later as all this technology has given me a headache.

Next question, how do I pay £10 to post photographs.  As I said don't want Photobucket or whatever as get loads of rubbish adverts.  I can't see a subscription button at top.

Borlotti click on Profile and on the left hand side under Modify Profile you'll see Paid Subscriptions.

There are good alternatives to photobucket and my fave is picassa.
It has an app for your pc that allows you to edit and organise pics and then upload to web albums - you get 1gb free space and as you upload it will shrink pics to your request.
You can link from the picassa site from anywhere and create slideshows to embed in web pages..
And its free and ad free - a craking program

Paid my £10 and have tried 3 times to post a picture.  Computer obviously doesn't like my photos.  Thought it seemed to easy, anyone know what I am doing wrong, perhaps I have to wait but now have the option up and it seems to find the file then the whole thing disappears.  Don't think the photos are too big but don't know how to reduce in size.  Fed up with the whole thing, and off to the shops, might try later, probably me being stupid again and missing something vital.

I've never managed to post photos - which is why I use photobucket. I did spend half a day once trying to get it to work... that's about as far as my patience lasts!
