for anybody who is interested in the history of allotments here is a link to a scanned copy of an advisory book on running allotments that was published in 1951 by the National Association of Parish Councils.

Beware that it is 9.5MB in size.

http://www.sunningdaleallotments.org.uk/NationalAssociationParishCouncilsAllotments1951.pdf

I am interested in tracking down any older material of a similar nature.

Thanks for that.

I'm in the middle of going through our lease at the moment, so that looks as if it's going to be helpful.

I have a handbook from I think 1945, I will try and find it Roll Eyes

like yours it says you will be fined £50( a hell of a lot of money in those days) if you steal produce off a plot, that's how important allotment sites where then,
how times have changed Sad / shades x

I have managed to reduce the size from 9.5MB to 2MB - it was using a lot of bandwidth on my web site.

There is a very slight loss of definition but only marginal. If anybody has a particular requirement for the 9.5MB version then pm me.
