You have to just love AGM's, some of the things people come up with are priceless.

what we couldn,t understand was this is the first time anyone had tried to oppose the comitee and breathe new life in .but it wasn,t posted that there was going to be a proper election so only 51 of 112 turned up and only 38 voted sad so the same get to carry on doing there own thing

But it's at AGM's where everything should be voted on by members.  If people wanted change then you have to rally round for the members that want change and go to the AGM armed with good reasons why change would be best for the site.

At our AGM's everything is voted on and proposed and seconded by members, that's what your AGM's are all about, and nothing then changes on the site for another year, except what has been agreed and voted on at the AGM.  We have a committee that holds meetings throughout the year but, rents, subs, and work needing doing and things to buy are always discussed and voted on at the AGM.

Your committe are only there to run the site on behalf of it's members.  You all pay subs so it is a members decision on things not a committee's decision, well that's how we think a democratic society should be run.
