I grew this flower from seed I collected from the Which? Trial Gardens.  Unfortunately the plant wasn't labelled.  It's about 4 feet tall and the flower is about 4 inches in diameter.  Does anyone know the variety please?

Good looker is that one, Georgie. Hoping my late planted ones do that good.
I checked my biggy Sunflower book and you're right, that is definitely a variety of a 4 foot sunflower.

Georgie, I wondered if you ever found out the name of that sunflower?
It's so beautiful I would love to have grown some, too.

Hello Cheerfulness - what a lovely name - nice to meet you.  No, I never did find out what it's called.  But I did save some seeds so if you'd like a few I'd be happy to send you some if you PM your details.   Smiley

arrrgh! That sunflower is so lovely, I decided to try to find it, trouble is I didn't find a name for it (just more nice pics with no id) and I ended up buying more sunflower seeds from ebay (valentine, they look really nice). I can feel the addiction kicking in again  Grin  Grin

LOL!  Valentine looks lovely and I can quite see why you couldn't resist it.   Grin

It's a shame that no-one was able to put a name to my flower.  Never mind, I'll just grow it and enjoy it.   Smiley
