It's surprising what a difference a few miles makes. When we let for work this morning the snow here had not melted at all, but when we got to Leeds about 10 miles away it had thawed completely.

A good belt of sunshine helped me ignore the almost freezing temperatures until they dipped a little more.

Presently it is -6oC so I'm thankful my late evening visit to see my parents will take me no more than 50 paces across the road instead of a 2 mile round cycle ride.  Smiley

Funny that Kev, but it is lovely and warm in my house today.  Nice in bed with tea and biscuits at 10 am, so lucky that I am retired, a bit boring no allotment and no tennis, had to do ironing today, first time in two years, and may have to wash the kitchen floor.  Can't wait to go to the lovely allotment and speak to my lovely friends.

It was cloudy dull and about 1C all day.  The forecast sunshine did not appear.  Though last night when I staggered home from the pub there was a lovely full moon and fantastic filigree work by Jack Frost on the car windscreen.

The forecast now shows no sunshine for the next five days.  Lets hope it is wrong.

Very much warmer here this morning and, at last, the sun is making an effort to appear.

Here's hoping my parent's central heating boiler can have a breather having run constantly day and night to keep them at 20oC for the last few days.
