South Essex - rain and wind last night [ no not artichokes!] but bright and still and mild this morning.
Is it the calm before the storm?

Sunny and a little breezy. Blue skies. Had one tiny sprinkle of rain. Storms are expected late tonight, during the night and all day Monday.  Roll Eyes

Here in Daventry its been a lovely day with much sun and, about 30mins ago, a short shower of rain. Nice conditions for some gentle preparation for planting in the next several weeks and tidying up all the bits that get left till time becomes available - in all a good day at the plot!! Central Brittany.... Not to bad today but forecast for 3am onwards in awful.  Had storms about the same time two days ago - husband jumped out of bed to switch of pc and livebox and me to check that small plastic greenhouse still standing Wink  He obviously got the idea as when it started to get windy today he moved the greenhouse into the garage for me... bless.

South East England not far from Hastings.

Forecast fearsome, but got down to the allotment with three grandsons and a couple of parents, and had brilliant three or four hours without the threatened wind and downpours. Lit four fires and cooked lunch and ate it in sunshine. Also did some digging and planted more potatoes.

Started off dry but windy this morning. Went for a 6 mile dog walk. Got back just in time. It's now blowing pretty wild and raining cats & dogs!

We had a stormy patch this morning between about 6-30am and 9am but nothing exceptional, quite heavy rain and some strong gusts. Very nervously put eldest son on coach at 7-30am for AS level Art trip to Tate Gallery in London. A text later informed me that after 2 hours (about 40mins away) they'd reached Hatfield and the bad weather.
We've got sunshine and gusts at the moment. It went very calm for awhile around 10.
