Lovely Carol, I am envious. The sunflowers I grew this year (seeds sown by Joshua) were a disaster. We had a weekend of heavy rain and strong winds, the wind does blow in the Fens, the plants just seemed to give up. Manic has kindly sent me seeds for next year, I am going to put them in a more sheltered area of the garden. Here's hoping Smiley

Lorna,  The seeds were last years.  Last year I fed them daily and I got one over the guttering on my roof.   I live in a very windy place, totaly exposed to the Westerlies - al my trees are like loo brushes.  The Sunflower is put at the side of the conservatory for a bit of protection.
