Roll Eyes Roll Eyes Roll Eyes
Thought that this might be of interest :-Hangovers: One of the quickest ways of curing a hangover is to make a banana milkshake, sweetened with honey. The banana calms the stomach and, with the help of the honey, builds up depleted blood sugar levels, while the milk soothes and re-hydrates your system.

All the talk of sloe gin, strawberry vodka on the other thread reminded me of hangovers gonebye and my standard course of avoidance!  Lots of coffee before going to bed, carton of fresh orange and packet of fudge (or Scottish Tablet) on bedside table to be sipped/eaten during night or first thing in morning  Shocked

Not strange really when I think of it as I was raising bloodsugar level and taking vitamin C

Always used to be Robinsons Orange Barley, but it had to be the one in the glass bottle.  They don't do that anymore....... Cry  Got me through 2 pregnancies and many hangovers (not whilst pregnant of course  Shocked)

If you drink at least 1 pint of water before going to bed, you will be hangover free come the morning.  It's only the brain becoming dehydrated, so give it a good watering before you start your zzzzz's, LOL!  Grin

Avoid hangovers

Stay drunk  Wink

------------------------------------------------------
and on the subject of being drunk here's a quote from The Hitch-Hiker's Guide to the Galaxy.

FORD: It's rather unpleasantly like being drunk.
ARTHUR: What's so unpleasant about being drunk?
FORD: Ask a glass of water.

If I am ever that bad I always make sure I have a pint glass of wine when I wake up.. It is only a short term cure as you do have to stop drinking eventually and it does catch up with you.!
